It’s Easy and Fun to Enter!
Want to participate in the 2021 Progressive Stark County Fair? Showcase your talents and turn your hobbies and special interests into a winner. There were more than 7,000 entries at the 2019 Progressive / Case Farms Stark County Fair and 1,000 projects on display from the Junior Fair 4-H program.
Who Can Enter?
Stark County residents are eligible to enter and many categories are open to out-of-county residents. There are categories for adults, youth, men only and special divisions. For Junior Fair 4-H entries, please check online at StarkCountyJrFair4H.com or contact the Junior Fair Office for more information.
What is the Cost to Enter?
To enter items for judging, you must purchase a Fair Membership, Exhibitor Pass, Junior Exhibitor Pass or an Express Exhibitor Pass. For online entries, you can pay with PayPal or a credit card. With a paper entry, you can pay by check, cash or credit card at the Fair Office.
$25 – Fair Membership Adult
Members must be a resident of Stark County and 18 years or older as of January 1, 2021. Unlimited entries. Members are eligible to vote for Fair Board Directors. Includes daily gate admission and car parking on Fair grounds. No farm or group names please.
$25 – Exhibitor Pass
For out-of-county residents or for those 17 years old and under as of January 1, 2021. Unlimited entries. Includes daily gate admission and car parking on Fair grounds.
$5 – Junior Exhibitor Pass
Special exhibitor pass price for participants 17 years old and under as of January 1, 2021. Unlimited entries in the Grange Building and Art Hall categories only. Includes daily gate admission and car parking on Fair grounds. NOTE: This fee is waived if you already have a $5 Jr. Fair 4-H wristband. If fee was paid twice, please contact the Fair Office for a refund after the entry deadline. We sincerely apologize for any confusion!
$18 – Express Exhibitor Pass
Special price for entering a limited number of items. Limited to five entries in Art Hall categories and five entries in Grange Building categories for a total of ten entries. Includes three gate admissions with car parking on Fair grounds.
What Do You Win?
Entries are judged by panels of volunteer judges. Premiums and rosette ribbons are awarded to winners. A premium is the amount of money received as a result of placing in the upper tier of judging. Premiums are redeemed at the Fair Treasurer’s Office. Premiums must be picked up before the Fair closes on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021.
There are hundreds of categories for entering at the Fair. Categories include everything from photography to quilts to antiques and fine art. There are categories for ponies, cattle, goats, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits and cavy. And there are the pies, cakes, vegetables, flowers, canned goods, homemade wine, beer and everything in between!
Information about all of the various entry categories is in the Online Entry and in the Fairbook. Entry deadlines, premiums, department rules, delivery dates and times and judging schedules are included.
Every entry will always consist of four things: Department, Division, Class and Description. For example, an applique quilt will be in Department 10, Art Hall – Division 1, Quilting – Class 1, Applique – Description.
How to Enter?
It’s easy! You can enter and pay online. Or you can download and print the entry form and mail to the Fair Office or come to the Fair Office and enter in person. The paper entry form is also in the Fairbook and available at the Fair Office.
