This clinic is especially for First Year poultry project takers
and Second Year – First Year turkey takers.

Broiler fees will be taken at this clinic and 
also Thursday May 14th at the Junior Fair Office from 6-8 p.m.

All broilers fees must be paid by May 14, 2009 by 8 p.m.
to participate in the project for the 2009 fair.

ATTENTION ALL 4-H MEMBERS TAKING SHEEP PROJECTS:
Stark County Jr. Fair Sheep Clinic

WHEN?
May 16, 2009 at 9:00 am

WHERE?
In the Sheep/Swine arena if the weather is nice.
If it is cool or rainy, we’ll move to the show arena in the horse barn behind the Junior Fairboard meeting room.

WHO NEEDS TO BE THERE?
Anyone who is taking a sheep project is invited to attend,
however, it is strongly recommended that first and second year project members to attend. Parents are invited, too!
We also need some older members to help 
with the hands on portion of the clinic.

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
 We will be discussing all the things needed to begin a sheep project…
What equipment is needed?
 Things to know before choosing a feeding program.
 How to tell if a lamb is not feeling well, and what to do.
 Vaccines and health management programs.
 Basic handling techniques will be practiced on real sheep.
 How to begin preparing for the show.
 And, for those interested in beginning a Born & Raised Market Lamb Project for next year, some sheep breeding tips and dates to get started.
