Stark County Junior Fair Participant General Rules & Guidelines:

The Stark County Junior Fair operates under the authority of and in conjunction with the Stark County Senior Fairboard. The Junior Fairboard is a department of the Stark County Fair with its own objectives. These objectives, in many instances, require rules or guidelines that differ significantly from those of other Stark County Fair Departments. Any boy or girl enrolled in a Stark County Youth Organization is eligible to participate in the Stark County Junior Fair. They must abide by the rules and age limitations of said youth organization (4-H, FFA, Grange, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc.).

Ohio 4-H Program Membership Guidelines:

Eligibility for 4-H membership begins when a child has reached age 5 and is enrolled in kindergarten as of January 1 of the current year (Cloverbuds); membership to the 4-H Club Program begins when a child is at least 8 and enrolled in 3rd grade as of January 1 of current year. Ohio 4-H Membership ends December 31 of the year in which an individual attains the age of 19. Membership begins when an eligible individual is enrolled in a club or group that is under the direction of a trained adult and within the scope of Ohio State University Extension.” Youth must participate in their county of residence or make a request for cross county participation, which is not always granted. Stark County 4-H Member registration deadline is March 15th annually.
