Hurricane Relief Kits Service Project

1 By Keith | October 4, 2017

Each year after I sell my animals at the Stark County Fair, I take at least 10% of my proceeds and donate them to a charity or complete a service project. This year I want to help OMCOR in their work helping those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. I have chosen to put together Hygiene and School kits and am asking for your help in collecting the supplies needed to fill these kits.  My 4-H club, Beech Creek, and Lexington Grange will also be helping me with this project.

October 8th at 2:00 p.m. Aldersgate UMC will hold a “Blessing of the Animals” at their pavilion and the public is invited. This will also be a collection day for kit supplies and completed kits. We will also be blessing those items and those who donated/packed them that afternoon before preparing them for shipment.

Items can be dropped off at Aldersgate UMC or you can contact me at 330-823-6830 and we can pick them up. Monetary donations are also accepted and can be made through Beech Creek 4H, 13116 Snode St. Alliance, 44601 or through Aldersgate UMC. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by the recent hurricanes and those to come.

Thank you for your help and support,

Jenna McNeil
